Resource overview
Transfers
Review incoming, outgoing, and rejected licensed transfers and create a connected order from transfer data.
Overview
Transfers give operations teams a Higher Origins view of incoming, outgoing, and rejected movement records synchronized from Metrc. They help a team compare facility and package movement with the buyer, seller, products, and commercial work managed elsewhere in the system.
When the supported Create Order action is used, Higher Origins creates a draft commercial order for review; it does not rewrite the underlying transfer. Keep transfer status and compliance details separate from order status, invoicing, and payment.
Open Transfers and choose Incoming, Outgoing, or Rejected.
Transfer lists and details
Incoming contains transfers where the selected facility is receiving packages.
Outgoing contains transfers shipped by the selected facility.
Rejected contains transfers marked rejected by the source workflow.
Open a transfer to review its manifest, type, status, direction, shipper, recipient, and package counts. The package table can include label, source, product, category, shipped and received quantities, price, and lab state. Use these fields to confirm you are creating or associating work with the correct licensed parties.
Create an order
Choose Create Order when the transfer should become a new Higher Origins order. The workflow determines buyer and seller from the incoming or outgoing direction, ensures a Trading Partner relationship exists, and creates a Draft order that can be reviewed before normal order processing.
Creating an order does not submit or fulfill it. Open the new Draft in Orders, verify parties, line items, quantities, prices, and terms, then move it through the normal order lifecycle.
Sync and matching
Use Business Settings to save the METRC key, import the correct facility, and sync transfers. If a transfer is missing, check the selected business and facility first, then the latest transfer sync. On a transfer detail page, choose Create Order to create the related Draft order, then review it in Orders before submitting or approving it.
METRC Debug on a transfer is restricted to system administrators and is used for diagnosis rather than ordinary transfer processing.
