Resource overview
Communication
Use Community, Messages, Events, in-app alerts, browser push, and email preferences to communicate and stay informed.
Overview
Communication brings together public professional discussion, private chat, events, and delivery preferences. Community content is shared with eligible signed-in members. Messages are conversations between participants. Events can be published to the calendar. Notification and email preferences control supported event delivery; the visible Order Status preference does not currently receive order submission or status-change dispatch.
Community
Open Community to browse discussions and categories.
Search discussions or switch among discovery views such as latest, following, categories, and the views offered by the current page.
Follow Category includes the category in your Following view; unfollow removes it.
Start discussion chooses a category and records a title of up to 180 characters plus rich content.
Open a discussion to Reply, reply to a particular post, Follow or Unfollow the discussion, and add or remove an emoji reaction.
The thread author or an eligible moderator can Accept answer. The accepted reply is highlighted and linked from the thread.
Authors can edit or delete their eligible discussion or reply. Deleting a discussion also removes its reply context after confirmation.
Report sends a private reason of 5 to 2,000 characters to community moderators. Moderators can review reports, resolve them, and perform permitted thread moderation.
Save preference turns the community digest on or off. The Email preferences link controls broader monthly recap and roundup subscriptions.
Keep private customer, business, license, and security information out of Community posts. Report content that needs moderator attention instead of reposting it.
Messages
Open Messages to see conversation groups, recent text, dates, online status, and unread counts.
Select a conversation, type a message, and choose Send. New messages update through the live connection and the conversation is marked viewed while it is open. Start Chat is also used by Marketplace and other supported flows to create or reuse a conversation with another user. If a message does not update immediately, reopen the conversation and check the network connection before sending it again.
Notifications
Open Notifications from the header.
Unread shows new alerts; Read shows alerts already marked read.
Choose an alert's action, when present, to open the related record.
Mark as read moves one alert to Read. Mark All As Read clears the current unread queue.
Settings opens notification preferences for In-App, Email, and Push delivery. Browser Push requires HTTPS and browser permission, and Send Test Push Notification verifies the current subscription.
Email preferences controls address-wide marketing permission, monthly recaps, weekly community roundups, and other available update types. Essential service and security email is managed separately.
Events
Open Events to use Upcoming, My Events, and Calendar.
Upcoming lists published upcoming events and links to their public detail.
Calendar shows events by month. Use Previous, Today, and Next controls, or subscribe through Apple/Outlook or Google.
My Events lists events owned by pages you manage. Choose Create Event or Edit.
Event fields include Title, optional Slug, Description, owning page, venue and address, organizer and websites, ticket URL, start and end, timezone, Published or Draft status, cover image, associated pages, and Public.
Recurrence supports Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom Dates. Set an interval, weekday where required, recurrence end, and per-event end time. Without an end, recurring generation defaults to one year.
Associated Pages can be added with a relationship role and description. Delete removes the event after confirmation.
Event times are interpreted in the saved timezone. Review a published event on its public page and calendar after changing time, recurrence, visibility, ownership, or associated pages.
Permissions and recovery
Community write, moderation, event management, and some notification controls depend on access granted to your account and selected business.
If an event cannot be edited, confirm that its owning page is one you manage.
If an expected alert is missing, check both the event's channel toggle and the browser or email-level permission.
If a conversation starts with the wrong party, return to the originating partner, marketplace, or contact record and use its Message action.
