Open the public California Cannabis License Search. Search with a license number for the most precise result, or use a business name, owner, email, phone number, license type, or another identifying term when you are exploring records.

Results show identifying information such as business name, license number, issue and expiration dates, subtype, and indexed status. The landing page can also show statewide totals, active retail locations, and recently issued or inactive records when those data are available.

Refine the result set

Open Search Filters and combine only the constraints that support your question. Applied filters appear above the results and can be removed individually.

  • Region, Status, Category, Type, and Sub Type narrow identity and license classification.

  • Issued After or Before and Expires After or Before constrain recorded dates.

  • Active During After or Before finds records active during a chosen period.

  • Designation separates Adult-Use and Medicinal records.

  • Term separates Annual and Provisional licenses.

  • Business Structure narrows the indexed ownership structure.

  • Show Associated Licenses includes records connected to the same operator or owner.

Inspect a license

Choose a business from the results. Review status, number, type and subtype, issue and expiration dates, term, designation, region, refresh date, and the linked California Department of Cannabis Control source. Ownership, categories, address, contact, activities, or cultivation capacity appear only when the indexed record contains them and disclosure rules allow them.

Associated Licenses groups records linked by indexed names, contact information, or owners. Use List for a direct comparison, Graph to explore relationships, and Map for active retail records with usable coordinates. An association is a research signal; verify the underlying records before treating it as a current legal or commercial relationship.

Choose Summarize to apply the current query and filters to aggregate views. Overview shows totals and broad distributions. Geography focuses on regions and cities. License Types compares types and subtypes. Operators summarizes operator and owner relationships.

License information can change after import. Read the displayed source and freshness date, and verify time-sensitive licensing decisions with the California DCC.
