Symptom

A generated product label is blank, shows the wrong variant or batch, contains stale lab values, or points to the wrong public identity.

Ordered checks

  1. Screen: product label preview. Expected: the selected variant is correct; otherwise the default variant is used. Action: choose the intended variant or update the product's Default variant.

  2. Screen: product Inventory and batch detail. Expected: the latest product batch is linked to the intended inventory item. Action: link the correct inventory item and update or create the corresponding product batch.

  3. Screen: inventory item. Expected: package number or UID, batch value, package date, and source label are current. Action: correct Higher Origins-owned fields here or correct Metrc-owned fields in Metrc and sync again.

  4. Screen: product batch. Expected: THC, CBD, total cannabinoids, total terpenes, testing lab, test date, and terpene selections match the intended certificate. Action: update the product batch and save.

  5. Screen: product Variants. Expected: quantity, unit, display name, and SKU match the package being labeled. Action: edit the variant before exporting again.

  6. Screen: product Details. Expected: the saved distributor is the business responsible for distribution. Action: correct the Distributor License Number and save the product before exporting again.

  7. Screen: Your Page and Business Settings. Expected: page name, profile image, region, and business license belong to the selected selling business. Action: correct the business or page identity and regenerate.

  8. Screen: label preview QR. Expected: it opens the product on the current public page. Action: confirm the page slug and product status before printing.

Check the printed license

Front and bare labels use the distributor business saved on the product. They print the distributor line only when that business has one unambiguous active distribution license. If the line is missing, confirm the product's distributor relationship and the distributor's active licenses before exporting again.

Confirm recovery

Regenerate the preview, compare every regulated field with the source batch and certificate, scan the QR code, and export a test PDF at the intended dimensions before printing production labels.

Escalate with useful evidence

Report an Issue with product ID, variant ID, inventory item or package tag, product-batch ID, label type, requested dimensions, expected value, displayed value, and timestamp. Attach a sanitized preview and never attach a secret.
